Memorize the idea, not the words. When practicing, you want to keep in mind the flow of your message. You don’t have to write all the words on paper. Some speakers read out their entire speech and forget to make eye contact with their audience. Without audience contact, you may sound monotonous and you may not be able to say your message with feelings.
 

Express your feelings for the bride. Complement the bride. Tell her how beautiful she is and how much she means to you as a friend or a sister. Remember that this is her special day so you do not want to say anything that may upset or offend her.
